The Art Kit
Clay, Constuctivism and Dada
1. Clay
CLAY SCULPTURE
Materials: Firing clay Water
Masonite or
Glass (to be used as
a working base)
Fishing line
(to be used to lift and cut the clay) glaze
Paint brush
Process: Form clay — Use water when needed to keep clay moist —
Allow to dry, fire, apply glaze with paintbrush (four coats), and fire again.

Materials: Construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Found objects
Process: Choose a found art object and fill with construction paper to form sculpture.
2. CONSTRUCTIVISM
Materials: Construction paper Glue Scissors
Process: Cut and glue paper to form free standing object.
3. CONSTRUCTIVISM
Materials: Wood
Glue
Fabric or
Construction paper
Process: Glue wood in position and cover with fabric or paper — Can be
parent/child project if wood must be cut and shaped to fit design.
Process: With eyes closed open magazine to page, point, look, cut out and glue
creating a collage of chance.
2. DADA
Materials: Felt tip pens White paper
Process: Draw with words.
3. DADA
Materials: Art Print Oil pastels White paper
Process: Glue art print on paper. Using oil pastels extend from original art
work.
